Good Nutrition, Rest and Exercise are Critical to a Healthy Immune System
Your immune system is crucial in maintaining your health—so it's important to keep it in good order. Keeping your immune system in good shape is a complicated task. "How do I boost immunity?" is really the same question as "What can I do to stay well?"
Opinions on how to best support your immune system often diverge. Modern science tends to focus on reactive medicine and treatment of acute symptoms rather than preventive therapies that enhance the body’s natural ability to fight illness from pathogens like bacteria and viruses.
Modern medicine does not focus on preventative strategies to boost immunity and certainly prevention is not where the big dollars are made in the world of Pharmaceutical companies. This is why the important lifestyle choices we make everyday are critical to supporting good health.
Our philosophy here at Good Elements is to empower people with helpful information to make better lifestyle decisions leading to superior health. We also provide tools, in the form of natural supplements, to safely and effectively maintain and restore health when a little extra help is needed.
We all feel a little bit worn down at times, often followed by a cold or other illness. One common observation is the frequency of illness after a stressful period in one’s life. People often catch a cold after working long hours on a project and finally making it to that long anticipated vacation.
It can be frustrating but it is your body’s natural response, a way to decompress and unwind and its healthy reaction to a stressful event. It is at times like these that your body’s natural defenses may need a little support from Resistance.
Who Should Use Resistance?
Resistance should be used for general support when you are feeling run down during times of peak stress, when you feel an illness coming on or when you are fighting an illness.
How Should Resistance Be Taken?
Take two capsules two times daily when feeling run down to prevent illness. Take two capsules three times daily when ill or when exhibiting initial symptoms of illness.
GE Health Note: Unlike Essentials, which is a multivitamin, Resistance is not a daily supplement and does not need to be used daily unless feeling run-down or ill.
What else can I do to support my immune system?
• Consume a varied, balanced diet
• Take a basic daily multivitamin/mineral supplement like Essentials to fill in gaps in your nutrition.
• Exercise - get your heart working and blood flowing
• Sleep- the body regenerates and heals during sleep which is essential to a healthy immune system
• Moderate stress to the best of your ability, take Chill to help with this task
